Natural wilderness areas, along with the people who co-exist within them, are central to Chelsea Young’s creative practice. As she continues to travel across the African continent with curiosity, Young seeks to uncover the gentle omnipresence that exists beneath its bold, vibrant, and dynamic landscapes. Drawn from the core of natural environments, her work becomes an internal response to these wilderness spaces, in an attempt to recreate the essence found within them.
